Dock receipt and shipping instructions in shipping freight LCL from the USA

Typically, we need one business day to schedule an international shipment. However, we recommend booking and paying a deposit three to seven business days before you intend to ship your goods.

We began working on the international shipping as soon as you booked your international shipping from the USA via a quote obtained in the online freight calculator and paid a deposit.

After the international shipping is settled, you will receive our email with shipping instructions.

Depending on the kind of service you requested, the instructions slightly differ. However, regardless of the type of service, the shipping instructions will contain the following:

  • An ocean freight carrier's booking number - the key number during international transportation from the U.S. overseas. 
  • Your customer reference number - our internal number to track your shipment in our email or phone correspondence. The format should be like US200124BL.
  • A web link with a dock receipt provides sailing details: vessel, voyage, ETD, ETA, cargo delivery cutoff, etc.
  • A web link to print your shipping labels.
  • A web link to submit your valued packing list if you do not have a commercial invoice on your shipping goods.

Depending on the kind of service you requested, the shipping instructions will be:

  • If you self-deliver cargo directly to an ocean carrier's freight terminal (CFS), you only need to open the web link with your dock receipt and print at least two copies of the dock receipt. The cargo delivery address and the CFS contact phone# are on the receipt.
     
    You may consider the dock receipt a ticket for the international shipment. Deliver your packed and labeled goods to the CFS along with two printed copies of the dock receipt.
     
  • If you self-deliver cargo to a U.S. domestic LTL carrier freight terminal to LINE HUAL, your shipping goods to a CFS, then an LTL carrier's U.S. domestic bill of lading in a PDF file will be attached. Print at least two copies of the bill of lading. The cargo delivery address and the LTL terminal contact phone# are in our email with shipping instructions.
     
    You may consider the bill of lading a ticket for your shipment. Deliver your packed and labeled goods to the LTL freight terminal along with two copies of the bill of lading.
     
  • If you requested a PICKUP (collection) cargo, the pickup day will be confirmed, and an LTL carrier's U.S. domestic bill of lading in a PDF file is attached. Print at least two copies of the bill of lading, and prepare to meet a pickup driver on the pickup day. The phone# of a dispatcher of the LTL company is in the body of our email with shipping instructions.

    Submit your cargo to the pickup driver, along with the bill of lading, on the day of the pickup. Have your copy signed and dated by the pickup driver. Please keep it on file as proof of pickup. You may need to call the LTL company dispatcher a day before the pickup to conduct the pickup conditions and time slot.
