The Freight Calculator Provides International Shipping Costs in Minutes
Shipping Overseas from the USA? Consider Scenarios for Your Cargo Delivery.
Consider various options for your international cargo shipping. Our website provides a user-friendly platform with competitive Less-than-Container-Load (LCL) shipping rates for boxes and crates from the United States via sea freight.
This system enables users to estimate international delivery costs for both commercial merchandise and personal belongings.
If you are exporting goods from the USA, this is the exact tool you need. Generate a sea freight quote - it is free and requires no commitment.

- This web-based logistics interface is designed for seasoned exporters and those new to the industry. It is also an essential resource for international buyers managing U.S.-based shipments.
- Using this digital tool, you can coordinate large orders from Amazon or eBay, or arrange worldwide freight transit from any U.S. location to any destination globally.
- This option is also suitable for families relocating from the United States to other countries. If you're moving household goods from the USA and can pack them in cardboard moving boxes, you can save significantly compared to hiring an international moving company. The freight rates offered through this platform are substantially lower than those from traditional international moving companies.

It is accessible 24/7. You can compare multiple shipping scenarios to find the most cost-effective route. Again, there is no charge to run different price calculations.
There are three options for cargo delivery in the USA
When calculating, consider different shipping scenarios for overseas shipments.
You may consider self-delivery of your load to the nearest warehouse or request pickup (collection) from the storage location.
Suppose you calculate a global transportation cost by considering the self-delivery of your goods, properly packed in cardboard boxes, crates, or pallets, to the nearest warehouse. Then, you have to be aware that in the online freight calculator, in the origin terminals drop-down list, the freight terminals marked WITH ASTERISKS (*) are substantially different from those marked WITHOUT ASTERISKS.

- Warehouses highlighted, listed in upper case, and WITHOUT ASTERISKS are the direct ocean carriers' terminals, professionally called CFS - Container Freight Stations. PHILADELPHIA, PA, for example.
For loads self-delivered to CFSs, international freight rates are based on overall chargeable volume per Cubic Meter or Cubic Foot. WEIGHT FOR CARGO SELF-DELIVERED TO CFS IS NOT A PRICING FACTOR unless the density does not exceed a limit nominated by the carrier. The limit typically equals 1654 lb (750 Kg) per Cubic Meter. If you ship regular goods from the USA, the weight is likely to be within the limit. However, you always state the weight in import-export documents, as required by both U.S. and destination-country customs.
Now you realize that delivering directly to a CFS is the most cost-effective way to ship goods from the USA overseas. There will be no additional expenses to ship it abroad from the United States.
Remember that if you cannot self-deliver your load to a freight terminal, you can arrange for a local moving company to do so on your behalf. You don't have to deliver it in person; anyone you trust can do it.
- Warehouses listed in lowercase and MARKED WITH ASTERISKS (*) are domestic U.S. LTL carriers' terminals. Austin, TX*, for example. Loads delivered to such warehouses will be transferred (line hauled) to a carrier's station (CFS). In other words, when calculating prices, remember that international shipping costs for cargo delivered to the LTL carrier's terminal are subject to additional U.S. domestic line-haul charges on top of the sea freight cost.
Suppose you cannot deliver your goods to a carrier's terminal. In that case, you can also request a pickup (collection) of your load to be delivered to the carrier's terminal for further transportation from the USA by sea. You must properly pack all your goods in cardboard boxes or crates in advance. The pickup can be arranged from your business, at your seller's location, or for personal items at your residence door. However, a pickup charge will be added to your overall international cargo transportation price.
- Consider the options in the 'Do you need a pickup?' drop-down menu if you select a pickup. Please confirm whether you are sending your load from a warehouse, small-business premises, or a residential address.
Suppose a pickup option is selected. In that case, the cost depends on your ZIP code (U.S. Postal Code) and the distance between your location and the nearest CFS or line-haul terminal. You provide a ZIP Code in the final step of the price calculation data entry. Experience difficulties in finding a U.S. ZIP code? Use the USPS ZIP Code Lookup.
Select an appropriate option in the 'Do you need a pickup?' drop-down menu. Choose the type of goods and location.
Also, remember that line haul and pickup charges, unlike sea freight rates, are calculated based on the dimensional weight, freight class, and volume.
If you’re ordering a pickup, provide the ZIP Code of your location at the end of the data entry. Then, click the corresponding buttons to view the price, including the pickup option.

Please note that if you are preparing a price quote and have not yet decided whether to deliver the cargo to a carrier's terminal or arrange pickup, we recommend selecting the pickup option. By choosing a pickup, you will see prices for all possibilities. Then you will book your shipment using your preferred method.
After obtaining the result, type a valid email address and click the ‘Send’ button. By clicking the button, you will receive the quote for further consideration.
With the emailed quote, you receive a unique quote reference number. The reference format should be: USL20011793. You can always reply to the email with the price quote and ask any questions you may have.
The quote will also be stored in our database. We will then provide you with your quote reference number and will always assist you with your international shipping costs, calculated using the calculator, without asking unnecessary questions.
Prices can be affected by the value of cargo.
When calculating, you will be asked to estimate the value of your goods in US$. This information is necessary to decide whether to file a U.S. shipper's export declaration and estimate the cost of maritime cargo insurance if the coverage is needed. You can change the value during booking processing.
Note that while obtaining a freight estimate, the final declared value will be based on your commercial invoice or packing list - critical documents in global maritime trade. You can submit these later. When requesting a quote, you will also select options for filing the U.S. SED. More details regarding the Export Declaration process are available on our site.
Options on filing a U.S. Shipper's Export Declaration (SED)
When calculating quotes with the calculator, you select an option for filing a U.S. SED. You can find more information about the U.S. SED on the website. However, you should be aware that a U.S. SED must be filed with U.S. Customs on every shipment from the U.S. to abroad if the value of the goods exceeds US$2,500. With this knowledge, you can make an informed decision when calculating shipping costs.
Options on Maritime Cargo Insurance
Finally, our freight cost calculator allows you to add maritime insurance coverage. This protection is optional. You can select it during the initial quote and modify your choice during the final booking stage.
